It was a Sunday morning, we got up and decided we didn't want to cook, so we fed Rhett (our fur-son), and went to get breakfast.
The first place we went to was unexpectedly closed, then 2nd place we went to doesn't open on Sundays anymore, so running out of options D said, "oh let's go try the crepe place."
"The crepe place" isn't the name of the restaurant. It's actually called Tandem.
After that first visit, we've never looked back and Tandem has become a regular stop in our breakfast rotation.
D loves her coffee, and anytime there's a design in it, it's extra fancy.
I get their fresh squeezed orange juice, which isn't pictured because, well, it's a glass of OJ, and it's so good.
Now, let's take a look at some of the nummies we've gotten.
Apple Pecan waffle
Blackberry walnut waffle
Lemon curd and Blueberry crepe
The cinnamon roll crepe is usually my go-to, but has recently been replaced by The Lumberjack (soon to come). I'll get 2, eat one and a half, and then eat the rest later as a snack.
The apples in the Apple Crisp Crepe are the most perfectly cooked apples in any dish on Earth. They're cooked just enough so they're a soft chewy instead of a hard bite, but not so far that they're mushy.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you ... The Lumberjack.
It's a crepe filled, and I say filled, I mean FILLED ... with ham, egg, bacon, and cheese with syrup and béchamel on top.
Each bite is nearly an inch thick, and I can confidently say, you will not leave hungry if you order this.
Of all of the times that we've been, I really don't believe either of us has gotten something we didn't like.
